Shields and her plus-two slayed the red carpet on Dec. 11 at Z100’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, and their coordinating outfits did not go unnoticed. The three ladies appropriately chose the festive color combination of red, white and black, complete with hints of a little sparkle throughout, for the holiday event held at Madison Square Garden in NYC. The A Castle for Christmas actress donned a candy-apple red ruched corset-style bow-embellished top with waxed-leather shimmery flare pants. She accessorized with simple black pointed-toe pumps and a metallic clutch, finishing the look with red lipstick and chestnut-colored locks worn down in loose curls. Shields’ youngest daughter Grier chose a street-style inspired look, pairing a graffiti-covered blazer with matching printed pants, worn over a black bralette. She trendily styled the look with sneakers and a rhinestone-embellished Prada handbag, while her hair was pulled back into a slick middle-parted ponytail. Dave Kotinsky/Getty Images Sporting an identical hairstyle as her sister and red lipstick to match her mom, Rowan wore high-waist black sequin bell-bottom pants and a red cropped blazer over a black lace-lined top with patent leather black boots. “Got to be a cool mom last night. Thanks, @iheartradio ❤️🎄,” Shields captioned an Instagram post, which also featured behind-the-scenes photos with Zoey Deutch and Dove Cameron. The “Boyfriend” singer commented on the post, writing, “My angel!!!” The actress previously opened up about both sharing her archival closet with her teenage girls and getting style inspo from them back in June. “They wear my clothes a lot. So whenever they wear anything of mine, it’s validation to me,” Shields told People at the time. “So what [Rowan] gravitates toward [are] the very functional bags of mine and belts and things like that. [Grier] gravitates toward zero function, all fashion.” Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images She noted the generational difference between herself and her children helps her to keep her style up-to-date. “There is a certain… youthful sense that they have helped me infuse in bits, not to be younger, but to enjoy a freshness of it. They understand fashion differently,” she added. Shields shares both daughters with husband, screenwriter/producer Christopher Henchy.
